I have not. Neither has anyone else I've spoken to. The man is simply gone. Vanished. Which at this point is becoming as strange as it is concerning.

For the most part, yes. Though I do not particularly enjoy that we are having to involve civilians in a potential murder investigation.

To be fair, everyone is technically a civilian here. Whatever laws we have back home won't really apply in an unknown place.

As far as jurisdiction, yes, but even without that, some people are trained to deal with situations like this while others are not.

Everyone has their own skill set, so it's best to let people help. Especially since it would be easy to create resentment if people are forced to stay in the sidelines just because they're not a cop.

Everyone seems very chaotic. And slow to trust, which isn't too weird. But it makes accepting leadership that much harder.

I am a prosecutor. Many of the men who I convicted had a powerful presence in the criminal underworld. Many would attempt to avenge those men by killing me.

However I cannot say that the legend of the Reaper is some baseless rumor. It is just that the truth of the matter is far worse and less fantastical than what the people think.

I would hazard a guess that you understand that certain professions come with such danger.

No, that's understandable. Technically there is always a level of danger with any job just because you cannot predict people or outside factor, but not every job has a high chance of getting a bullet to the head.
